A note on transport

Transport, tickets, meals, refreshments, and personal expenses are paid separately. Your companion is happy to travel alongside your loved one in taxis, public transport, community transport, or family-arranged transport. The Village Companion does not transport clients in a companion's personal vehicle.

A clear service boundary

Our service is strictly non-medical and non-personal care. We do not provide washing, dressing, toileting, medication administration, or clinical care.

How it works

Calm, simple, no pressure.

You can start with a single conversation. There is no contract on day one, no care plan, just a thoughtful first step.

  • Gentle walks, garden time, or visits to a preferred local cafe
  • Local outings such as shops, parks, lunch clubs, or community activities
  • Accompaniment to GP, hospital, dental, pharmacy, and other appointments
  • Support staying connected through calls, cards, letters, photos, or video calls
  • Light everyday assistance connected to companionship, such as making a shopping list
  • Gentle guidance with a phone, tablet, messaging apps, and video calls
  • Confidential family updates, where agreed by the client

Tailored private support

For clients who would benefit from more frequent visits, longer outings, special occasions, or a bespoke combination of companionship and appointment accompaniment, a tailored arrangement can be discussed during your initial consultation.
